Bahna Concept

Bahna is a giant turtle like creature that lives in the toxic swamps.

I stumbled upon a fantastic tutorial for painting light and shadow and used it to paint this concept piece. It definitely helped me understand the fundamentals of light but I still have a long way to go. One technique that I used was to paint the shadows with a cool blue tint and paint the lit parts with a pinkish red tint. I wanted to work more on the slime pockets on Bahna's back but I didn't know where to look for guidance. I linked the course here.
